We have over 1,250 approved STEM Ambassadors on our system who have been DBS checked and approved who can offer time and support to promote STEM subjects and careers to young learners.
These ambassadors come from a wide range of backgrounds and disciplines, both graduate and non-graduate, academia, industry and business but all share a passion for STEM.
This is an invaluable and FREE resource for teachers, helping you to deliver the STEM curriculum in fresh and innovative ways.
STEM Ambassadors can support schools through a range of activities, for example:
To request a STEM Ambassador, please email to email@example.com.
Ambassadors can assist with practical, hands on demonstrations that can assist bring the curriculum to life and also support STEM careers initiatives in local schools, demonstrating how STEM skills and qualifications can lead to exciting, diverse and well paid careers.
Please ensure that any requests for Ambassadors are submitted a minimum of 4 weeks before an event to ensure availability.
Please note we do rely exclusively on volunteers from academia, local business and industry but be assured that every effort will be made by the team at W5 STEM to source a suitable STEM Ambassador for your activity.
W5 aims to ensure that your school gains the maximum benefits from this FREE programme.
We would like to arrange a meeting with each school to discuss how the programme can support and link with your School Development Plan and link with your school's CEIAG STEM audit .
To arrange a meeting at your school, please contact Arlene Todd, Education Liaison Officer on 028 9046 7717 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
