Environment & Health

Environmental health officers protect people from environmental hazards in places where they live and work.  Their activity covers four main areas: food control, health and safety at work, housing, and protection from pollution.

Health and safety advisers are responsible for creating, maintaining and improving health and safety standards in workplaces.

Health and safety inspectors ensure that, within a legal framework, employees’ health and safety risks are properly controlled.
