Share the joy of the Christmas season at W5 on selected dates from 25 November - 23 December 2023. Belfast's award-winning science and discovery centre is decking their halls with yuletide cheer over the holidays with the return of some festive family favourite activities as well as a brand-new, high-action lecture theatre show, featuring Santa himself!

Santa and the Great Christmas Upgrade
New for Christmas 2023, Santa and the Great Christmas Upgrade is a magical theatre show for all the family.
It seems our robot elves have convinced Santa that he needs to modernise his operations, completely upgrade his equipment and take a more technological approach to present delivery this Christmas. What could possibly go wrong with that?
Find out in this live action show that features Santa, big screen animation, robots, high adventure, and ultimately a healthy sprinkling of Christmas magic. And (if Santa can save the day) a present for every paying child in the audience!

Ghosts of Winterly Manor
Launching 2 December, don't miss our brand-new, family-friendly experience - Ghosts of Winterly Manor.
For centuries there has been a tradition of wiling away the long Christmas nights by huddling around the hearth and telling ghost stories.
This winter, W5's immersive AMAZE space will be transformed into the haunted Winterly Manor. Using a wide range of special effects, screen and holographic projections, lighting, immersive soundscapes and set works, watch as we bring Winterly Manor to life - or should we say…to afterlife!
Snowball Fight
Let the fun begin and the snowballs fly! Ever wondered what it might be like to have a snowball fight indoors? Well, now you can! It may look like real snow but don't worry - there is no chance of getting frozen fingers. Our warm, dry and soft snow is really cool - but not in a cold way!
Our Snowball Fight is free with general admission to W5.
North Pole Post Office
For some people, Christmas can be a difficult and lonely time. You can help us to spread the Christmas cheer this holiday season by creating a festive card for someone who might otherwise be alone over the holiday period.
