Sea life in Colour 01 min

Virtual event suitable for children aged 5-10 years and their families

Our planet is amazing – there’s nowhere else quite like it. When we join forces with the scientists working hard to protect our planet, there’s no limit to what we can achieve!

Life under the sea is full to the brim with colour! Whether it’s a stealthy octopus, taking on the rainbowed hue of a bed of coral; or the eerie light of an angler fish in the deep, dark depths of the ocean; the plants and animals that live in the sea are varied, beautiful and sometimes downright bizarre!

Join us online on Saturday 4th December from 2-3pm, as we’re joined live by Marine Biologist, Rosslyn Watret and local Artist, Blair Bailie for an exciting afternoon of finding out more about ‘Sea Life in Colour’. We’ll hear some amazing accounts of Rosslyn’s adventures on the water, both far and near to home. Then, Blair will take us through a guided session on drawing some of the local sea life that can be found near our own coastline. So why not get your paper, pencils, rubbers, and colouring pencils or felt tips ready to colour in your very own sea life.

Take a picture of your art pieces and send them to [email protected] and we will share these with Rosslyn and Blair and choose some to display on W5’s Facebook page.

We hope to see you then!
