The Dark will run every Saturday and Sunday throughout the month of October.
Beginning on Wednesday 26 October, the experience will run daily sessions until Sunday 6 November.

What is The Dark?
The Dark is a live-action immersive experience that puts you at the heart of the action.
Blurring the lines between fiction and reality, the visitor descends into ‘The Dark’ for an adrenaline-pumping experience that features live actors, detailed sets, immersive soundscapes and special effects, combining to create a new ‘total-reality’ multisensory experience unlike anything ever seen in Northern Ireland.
The Story
For many years scientists at the Wellsian Corporation have been working to unlock the secrets of ‘The Vortex’ – an energy tunnel on the edge of reality and the secret to travelling through time!
Wellsian have been sending operatives back in time in a series of successful missions and are now ready to celebrate and share their success with the world.
On the big day, 12 lucky people board the time pod and launch into the Vortex. However, excitement turns to fear as a shadow in the Vortex sends the pod crashing out of time and into the shadowy back streets of Victorian Belfast.
Luckily, all travellers survived but unfortunately for them, the pod isn’t the only thing to have escaped the Vortex. It seems something is lurking in the shadows and is hunting them in The Dark!
Suitability for Access to The Dark
The Dark is a 'total-reality' immersive experience and may not be suitable for everyone. Those taking part will experience total darkness, motion simulation, confined spaces, lighting effects (including strobe), loud noises, live actors, fog, scents and sudden scares.
This experience may be too intense for young children and is not recommended for children under the age of 12. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Parental discretion is advised.
Guests are advised not to take part if they are:
- pregnant
- suffer from high blood pressure
- have heart conditions, asthma, epilepsy or back/neck conditions
- are blind or visually impaired
- have mobility issues
- are prone to motion sickness
- are of a nervous disposition
- have sensitivities to scent, loud noises, or flashing lights
- are under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Some scenes may require guests to move quickly through confined spaces and to crouch or bend down.
No phones, flashlights, cameras or recording devices to be used during the experience.
