Why Enter?

Not only will students have the opportunity to demonstrate their mastery of Minecraft, they’ll also have the opportunity to learn valuable lessons about marine conservation, environmental science, and oceanography. Plus, this competition is a fantastic way for schools to engage students in a project that blends technology, creativity, and education in a unique and memorable way. The "SEAcrets of the Deep" challenge is designed to spark curiosity and inspire the next generation of marine explorers and scientists.

Michael Barrett, Dream Space STEM Specialist and judge of last year's competition said:
"Last year's final was nothing short of incredible. It truly showcased the power of esports, both in and for education, through Minecraft Education. The students weren't just improving their collaboration and critical thinking while working on the challenge, they also had the chance to present their ideas. Seeing them confidently communicate their thoughts both in-game and to us in person was inspiring. The event created a level playing field that allowed every student's voice to be heard and their creativity to shine."

The competition is open to schools across the island of Ireland, for students from primary 6 to Year 10 in Northern Ireland and 5th class to 2nd Year in the Republic of Ireland.
