On Friday 28 February, the W5 Learning & Engagement team hosted the FIRST® LEGO® League Challenge: SUBMERGED℠, delivered by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).
Schools from across Northern Ireland gathered to showcase their teamwork, creativity, and STEM skills in an exciting ocean-themed robotics competition. The SUBMERGED℠ challenge took students on an exciting journey under the sea as they used their engineering, programming, and problem-solving skills to design and create robots made from LEGO® bricks capable of completing real-world-inspired challenges and tackling complex, ocean-themed tasks.
The event culminated in an exciting awards ceremony, where teams were recognised for their outstanding achievements in various categories. The results highlighted the students' technical prowess, creativity, and passion for engineering and robotics.
