As part of the build-up to the Friendship Four Ice Hockey Tournament, schools from across Northern Ireland are invited to take part in a FREE day of STEM discovery and sporting excitement.
On Friday 28 November, 1,000 students will have the chance to explore W5’s world of wonder before heading into the SSE Arena to watch the action live on the ice as teams from Rochester Institute of Technology, Sacred Heart University, Miami University, and Union College compete for the prestigious Belpot Trophy, lifted by Boston University in the 2024.
What to Expect:
Free access to over 250 interactive exhibits across eight themed exhibition zones.
Engaging opportunities to explore science, technology, engineering, and maths in action.
Special pre-game science shows and themed activities to get everyone in the spirit before the puck drops.
Schools can arrive at W5 from 10am, with a designated lunch area available for packed lunches and snacks. Afterwards, it’s just a short walk to the SSE Arena for the 1pm Friendship Four game (doors open from 12pm).
