Covid-19 has changed the world and how we operate significantly, so here's what we're doing - and what we ask of you in return - to make sure you have the best experience possible while visiting the reimagined W5:

Planning Your Visit

Book your Visit in Advance

Pre-booking is now essential via our online booking portal – pick a day and a time at your own convenience. We’re operating at a reduced capacity for now, and we’ve introduced timeslots with admissions every 30 minutes.

Feeling Unwell? Stay home.

If you are feeling unwell; if you or any of your party develop Covid-19 symptoms; or have been in contact with someone who has the virus, we politely ask you to stay at home.

Booking Changes

Once purchased, tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded, except at the discretion of the Visitor Experience Team. Booking change requests should be sent via our Contact Us form here.

We are receiving a high number of enquiries at present, so please be patient while we review your requests.

Customers can add people to their booking by purchasing additional tickets on our online booking system. This is subject to availability for each time slot.

Covid-19 Ticket Extensions

In light of the impact of Covid-19, we are happy to extend the validity of tickets should you be unable to visit on your original date if you or a member of your party contract or are exposed to Covid-19. Please fill out our Contact Us form, quoting your booking reference number to rearrange your visit. Please be patient - our Visitor Services Team are experiencing a high number of enquiries at present.

When You're Here

Keeping a Safe Distance

Please keep a safe distance from others and stay within your family groupings whenever possible. We are reducing the number of people in the building at any one time to allow visitors and staff to give each other plenty of space.

Wearing a Face Covering

In line with current governmental guidelines for indoor visitor attractions in Northern Ireland, face coverings are mandatory, unless you are exempt, and should be worn on arrival and throughout your visit, unless you are eating/drinking. Complimentary disposable masks will be available; however, we do encourage you to bring your own. Team W5 will also be wearing face coverings, we’re still smiling with our eyes though!

Children under 13 are not expected to wear a face covering

Sanitising your Hands, not the Fun!

We have increased cleaning across our site to keep a safe and clean environment for all.

You’ll notice sanitising stations dotted around the building while you’re here. We ask that you sanitise your hands on arrival and regularly wash your hands throughout your visit (in between the fun!)

We've gone Cashless

As pre-booking your visit online is now required, we will no longer be processing new bookings at our ticketing desk. We also ask that you use contactless payment when in our Coffee Lab areas and Gift Shop.

Coffee Labs

Our Coffee Lab on Level One is open serving light bites and refreshments but with reduced capacity and social distancing measures in place. You must wear a face covering when walking around but not when seated at your table.

Outside food and beverages will not be allowed into W5.

Gift Shop

Our Gift Shop is open for business, however, please be mindful to keep a safe distance from others while on your shopping spree! We ask you to please refrain from trying on personal items while browsing in-store.

Getting Here

You'll need to access W5 via the back entrance, as the main entrance is still closed due to ongoing development work. The back entrance is accessible at the rear of the Odyssey complex by walking from the carpark along the Maritime Mile walkway by the water’s edge following our ‘W5 this way’ signs. The entrance is opposite the marina. Check out our map below.

Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes before your timeslot.
