Are you scared of creepy crawlies? Heights? Gruesome diseases? Join us as we explore the reason why we feel fear and the role it plays in keeping us alive. Take a chilling and thrilling journey through some shocks, disgusting delights and dreadful dangers. You’ll be left smiling from fear to fear!

Spooky Slime

This Halloween, we’re delving into a vat of super-icky stuff to look at the science behind this ever-so-spooky substance. Is it solid, is it liquid, or is it something else? Come see it for yourself. There’s more to slime than meets your eyeball.

Join us at W5’s Science Bar for a hands-on experience that will be sure to make you squeal and squirm! Take the opportunity to get up close with creepy crawlies using our microscopes. Explore the peculiar details of mini beasts, but be careful you don’t get too bugged out!

For the very brave amongst you: do you dare to plunge your hands into an unknown spooky substance? Can you guess what’s hiding in the shadows? Is it slime? Goo? Something more sinister? Perfect for curious minds of all ages.
