W5 is Northern Ireland's award-winning science and discovery centre and this Halloween, we have something for all the family. After all, fun has no age limit!
From 26 October, our largest exhibit is getting a makeover. At the heart of W5 is Climbit, a multi-storey structure that fuses together elements of a vertical jungle gym and maze. Take care to avoid the spiders, skeletons and other creatures that are lurking in the shadows.
For those who would prefer to keep their feet firmly planted on the ground, make sure to visit the Hocus Pocus café, located at the foot of Climbit. Indulge in some tasty treats and different potions, sure to get you in the spooky season spirit.
It’s not Halloween without pumpkins! The team at W5 have been hard at work carving the perfect design and now it’s up to you to vote for the best design in our Pumpkin King’s Challenge. Visit the level 4 mezzanine in W5 to cast your vote.
FEAR Show
This spooky season, discover the reason why we feel fear and its importance in our lives with our brand-new science show FEAR. Take a chilling journey through some shocks and disgusting delights. You are sure to be left smiling from fear to fear.
FEAR is free with a general admission ticket. This is a limited capacity show and slots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.

The Dark (12+ years)
Can you handle The Dark? Thrill-seekers searching for a fright this Halloween will not want to miss W5’s first-of-its-kind scare experience. Blurring the lines between fiction and reality, you will descend into The Dark for an adrenaline-pumping, live-action adventure. Featuring a unique blend of live actors, immersive soundscapes and special effects, this total-reality experience is unlike anything ever seen in Northern Ireland.
The Dark takes place in AMAZE, located on W5’s Level 4 and is running on selected dates up until 6 November. Tickets cost £20 per person + booking fees.
W5 Late (18+ years)
W5 Late returns on 27 October for a Halloween special. At W5, fun has no age limit but between 7pm - 11pm on 27 October, there are no kids allowed and adults are given the run of the place. Don your scariest costume and discover what lurks in the Reimagined W5 - it really is the perfect playground for a little trick or treating.
