W5 School Outreach – Christmas 2024!
This winter, the W5 Learning and Engagement team is bringing an out-of-this-world experience directly to schools with their W5 Portable Planetarium. Schools will have the opportunity to participate in an immersive Christmas journey that combines education, adventure, and a touch of holiday magic!
Blast Off to the Stars!
Imagine stepping inside a giant dome and embarking on a journey through the stars, exploring the cosmos like a real astronaut. That's exactly what students can expect as they are taken on a thrilling voyage to the International Space Station (ISS). Through this immersive experience, students will learn all about life in space—how astronauts live, work, and survive in the most extreme conditions.
From floating through the zero-gravity corridors of the ISS to witnessing breathtaking views of Earth from space, students will gain a deeper understanding of the science behind space exploration, all while being captivated by the wonder of the universe. A Special Guest from the North Pole
No Christmas experience would be complete without Santa, right? Worry not, because Santa has something special in store for all the students. Straight from his busy North Pole workshop, Santa will be taking a break from toy-making to record a personal video message for each school. This heartwarming message will bring festive cheer and excitement, adding a magical touch to the entire event.
But that’s not all! Schools will even have the option to request a special Christmas gift for each child, making this a super memorable experience for all.
