Level up Your Saturdays at W5 LIFE

Looking for fun, hands-on activities to spark young imaginations? Every Saturday, W5 LIFE (Learning and Innovation For Everyone) opens its doors to a world of creativity, coding, science, and seasonal surprises with exciting family-friendly drop-in sessions.

Please note that all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Egg Drop Challenge

Calling all budding engineers. To celebrate Isaac Newton's birthday, W5 will be launching eggs from the balcony of LIFE to test his fabulous work with gravity. Your job will be to design and build a device to stop the eggs from cracking. Are you up to the challenge?

Code With Colours: Sphero Indi

Say hello to our newest robots – Sphero Indi!In this Saturday event, discover how to code Indi using coloured tiles before putting your new skills to the test with exciting puzzles and challenges. Perfect for curious minds and budding coders aged 6+.

Big Engineering Challenge: Wind-Powered Wheels

Join W5 LIFE for some hands-on STEM activities, unleashing your creativity and problem-solving skills as you explore forces, motion and aerodynamics. You will work in teams, making 2D and 3D structures before designing and building your very own wind-powered car.
Once your vehicle is built, you will then add paper sails, place it on the starting line in front of a fan, and race!

Which team will harness the power of the wind and travel the furthest?

A thrilling mix of engineering, teamwork and friendly competition, perfect for inspiring the engineers of tomorrow.

Race The Rover: Sphero RVR

Think you can guide a robot through our tricky obstacle course?

Join us at W5 LIFE to code and drive your very own Sphero RVR robot rover. See if you can avoid the traps throughout the obstacle course and race to the finish line!
