Monday - MineCoders
Log in to a world where creativity meets technology as we explore the endless possibilities of coding within Minecraft Education. Learn some coding tips and tricks to help bring your crafting to the next level. Teamwork takes centre stage as campers collaborate to design and construct their ultimate Minecraft masterpieces.
Tuesday - Invent It
Get ready to unleash your innovative spirit as you discover the range of inventions in the world around us. Build machines from K’Nex, programme a BBC micro:bit creation to interact with the world around you, and discover how AI-powered teachable machines can enhance your ideas. Taking everything you have learnt about these machines, have a go at creating your own new invention, and pitch your ideas to our panel!
Wednesday - Animate It
Get animated at W5 LIFE this summer and master the skills of the stop-motion. Learn how to animate characters in a retro video game, animate yourself, and create your own mini stop-motion movie as we explore how this optical illusion can produce cinematic magic!
Thursday - Task It
Can you successfully complete all our tricky tasks? Join the team for a series of challenges to test your teamwork skills, your problem-solving abilities and your computational thinking talents. Get ready for some out-of-the-box thinking and attempt to become the ultimate tasker!
Friday - Sports Day
Sports Day, but not as you know it! Get ready for an action-packed day that combines classic team challenges with the excitement of competitive gaming. Campers will tackle fun races, obstacle courses, disc golf, football keep-up challenges and creative team games before heading into an afternoon of thrilling eSports action.
How can I secure a spot?
Tickets to Techno Sparks Summer Camp cost £40 per day per child.
Pre-booking your ticket is essential. Numbers are limited, and we advise booking early to avoid disappointment.
Please note: Children attending the Techno Sparks Summer Camp can gain entry to W5 after the camp with one adult for free. Tickets for any additional adults or children should be pre-booked.

The Techno Sparks Summer Camp at W5 LIFE costs £40 per child, per day. Each day features a different programme of hands-on activities, allowing children to explore a variety of exciting tech-focused challenges and experiences.
Where is W5 LIFE located?
W5 LIFE is located within The O2 Belfast, directly facing the main entrance to W5, making it easy to find on arrival.
Is lunch included in the camp cost?
Lunch is not included in the cost and children are asked to bring a morning and afternoon snack, and a packed lunch (nut-free).
What time does the camp run?
Each camp day runs from 9am to 4pm.
Can my child attend more than one day?
Yes, children can attend each day of the camp per week. Please note that each day must be booked separately.
What age range is the camp suitable for?
The Techno Sparks Summer Camp is suitable for children aged 11-14 years old.
Can children leave the camp unaccompanied?
In line with our child protection policy, only children aged 13 or over may leave unaccompanied, and this requires a signed permission form from a parent or guardian. All children under the age of 13 must be collected by a parent or guardian.
Is there access to parking?
Yes, 15 minutes of free parking is available at 9am and 4pm to allow for convenient drop-off and pick-up of your child.
Will children get to explore W5 during the camp?
Yes, each day includes a one-hour visit to W5, where attendees can explore the exhibition floors or enjoy one of the live shows.
